A full featured kitchen usually has some alcove, where you can set up a dinette, or a dining area. Yes, such a term is popular in the sphere of interior design, primarily kitchen interior design. Most commonly a kitchen dining area is identical to any large kitchen, but hardly is suitable to small kitchens.
But, something to realize is that you can still set it up in your small-sized kitchen. I am going tell you how:
First, do the interior measuring
The size of the room MUST be known earlier than any other thing, including the size of each piece of the dining set that you want to buy. The measurement of the room as a whole will make it quicker and easier for you, as the designer, to provide an alcove, the space for the dining area.
Measuring the interior in the first place will ‘help’ you manage the most appropriate proportion, especially between the whole interior and the dining area. This is also useful to find the fittest dinette set, so that the scale will be perfect.
Second, choose only space-saving furniture
After measuring the interior and also determining the measurements of the alcove, then, it is the very best time to get the furniture item. In large kitchens, usually, kitchen dining sets are the most popular choices. But, because it is a small kitchen you are dealing with, it is a better idea to customize the furniture.
Opting to combine some items you’ve bought separately is the most fruitful solution because you can choose the slenderest kind for each item that you want to have, e.g. the table. In practice, you may face unlimited choices like small chairs, long benches, three-legged bar stools, etc.
Alternatively, you can also create the dining set on your own or pay some artisan to do so. But, it is sometimes not efficient choice.
Third, paint the items all bright color(s)
In a small-sized kitchen and with the very limited space for the dinette, the alcove where your family and you will eat every day, nuance is not less important. The recommendation that I can give you here is that you need to make it look not too crowded. You need to paint all the items bright, brighter than before. Or, you can think about buying some bright furniture items to prevent doing so.
Finally, it is easy to understand that nothing is impossible when it comes to building a small kitchen dining area. Oh, yeah, please don’t forget to always provide little spaces between the dinette items, i.e between the table and chairs and/or bench so that walking through the gap between the seats is flexible.
